Wisdom Tooth has recently relocated to San Francisco. With her, I can only assume she has brought all the necessary materials for continuing to write charming bedroom pop. We metaphorically sat down with Meagan and asked the questions that are surely on everyone's mind (see question number two).

 

Desert Island Top 5 albums (i.e. you can only have 5 albums to listen to and yes, there is a cd player and unlimited batteries on the island)

This probably seems like an obvious question, but do you still have your wisdom teeth or have they been removed? They either never came or are still on their way. I'm sure I'll be cursing my choice in band name if I ever have to contend with them.

Your biggest musical inspirations (or things that inspire your writing).  Long drives, alone time, objects with history, reminiscences of school dances past.

Why do you think it always rains on that guy from Travis? Because he's from Glasgow.

Favourite book and / or movie.

  • Milan Kundera usually writes my favorite books (The Book of Laughter and Forgetting, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, The Joke), but when I get tired of indulging my melancholy I sometimes revisit Miranda July's book No One Belongs Here More than You. Carson McCullers and Flannery O'Connor have also been favorites as of late.
  • Favorite movies include Searching for the Wrong-Eyed Jesus, Wisconsin Death Trip, The Holy Mountain and all six hours of the TV-miniseries version of Lonesome Dove.

Do you believe that hippopotamus' are not actually cute and fun but extremely dangerous, or is this just the right-wing media up to their old tricks? They are so dangerous! My little brother and I fed popcorn to one at the zoo even though we weren't supposed to and I've never seen molars more menacing. (Sidenote: Wouldn't "Molars More Menacing" make a great Wisdom Tooth release?)

Musicians that you think more people should know about, but for some reason don't. Shelby Sifers, Jordan O'Jordan, French Quarter, Twig Palace, Glass Cake, Maple Rabbit, Trouble.

You can only have one thing for the rest of your life, which do you chose: cigarettes, coffee, wine, beer or ketchup? Coffee! A million times over!
